The Palm Beaches Marathon course takes advantage of the area’s magnificent, tree-line historic neighborhoods, while incorporating over 65% of scenic waterfront vistas. The sun rises along the first 5 miles of beautiful Flagler drive along the Intracoastal Waterway and across from Palm Beach and winds through West Palm Beaches’ historic districts, Prospect Park, El Cid and Southland Park.

At mile 6 the course enters the City of Lake Worth, known for its quaint neighborhoods, Municipal Golf Course, Bryant Park, and three established historic neighborhoods of College Park, Eden Place and Parrot Cove. While the marathon continues south, the half marathon makes a turn at mile 6.5 and heads back on Federal Highway/Olive Avenue towards the finish line in downtown West Palm Beach.

At mile 9 the course flows into the Town of Lantana which is a coastal community in Palm Beach County that still retains the charm of its origins as an old Florida fishing village. The Marathon continues down East Ocean Avenue past Bicentennial Park and over the Intracoastal Waterway and turns around at mile 11 at the Lantana Public Beach.

The course continues back through Lantana and Lake Worth and re-enters the City of West Palm Beach at mile 16. Marathoners will continue north of downtown West Palm Beach along Flagler Drive and pass by the Royal Poinciana Bridge, the Palm Beach Yacht Club, Currie Park and the Old Northwood Historic District at mile 24 before heading back to the finish line.

The Palm Beaches Marathon and Half Marathon course is as flat and fast, as it is beautiful. This event is also a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Every step along the way is a reminder of another day in paradise.
